BonePage.com proudly supports The Trevor Project, an organization dedicated to suicide prevention among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth.  The Trevor Project provides life-saving and life-affirming services such as crisis intervention and suicide prevention, offering support through a free and confidential hotline, digital communities, and advocacy initiatives. 

We have identified The Trevor Project as a critical resource for the transgender community. The Trevor Project provides support amidst profound challenges such as social stigma, discrimination, and unique mental health struggles. Transgender individuals often face systemic barriers, including family rejection, bullying, and lack of access to gender-affirming care, all of which contribute to higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation.

According to The Trevor Project's 2024 National Survey, transgender and nonbinary youth are nearly six times more likely to attempt suicide compared to their cisgender peers due to these pervasive stressors​ The Trevor Project addresses these challenges through its comprehensive crisis intervention services, including a 24/7 lifeline, text, and chat support, which provide immediate assistance and affirming care. Additionally, the organization advocates for policy changes and educates the public to foster a more inclusive society. By supporting The Trevor Project, we can help create a safer, more accepting environment where transgender youth can find the hope and support they need to thrive.
